Description
This crispy onion crunch chicken HelloFresh recipe uses pantry staples and bakes in just 30 minutes. Dijon, mayo, and crispy onions make it a juicy, flavorful dinner everyone will love.
Ingredients
2 boneless skinless chicken breasts
2 tbsp mayonnaise
2 tsp Dijon mustard
3/4 cup crispy fried onions, crushed
Salt and pepper, to taste
Optional: garlic powder or paprika
Instructions
1. Preheat oven to 425°F and line a baking sheet.
2. Flatten chicken breasts to even thickness.
3. Mix mayo and Dijon in a bowl.
4. Crush crispy onions in a zip-top bag.
5. Season chicken with salt, pepper, and optional spices.
6. Spread Dijon-mayo mixture over top of each piece.
7. Press crushed onions onto the coated side of each breast.
8. Bake uncovered for 18–22 minutes until golden and internal temp reaches 165°F.
Notes
Use chicken thighs if preferred, just increase bake time by 5 minutes.
Greek yogurt can be used instead of mayo.
Reheat in oven or air fryer to keep the topping crisp.
