This Cream Cheese Chicken and Broccoli Bake is a creamy, cheesy, oven-baked comfort food made with tender chicken, broccoli florets, and a rich cream cheese sauce. Easy to prep and great for weeknights or holiday meals.
Ingredients
1 pound boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cut into bite-sized pieces
3 cups fresh broccoli florets
8 ounces cream cheese, softened
1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese
1 cup low-sodium chicken broth
2 tablespoons olive oil
3 garlic cloves, minced
1 teaspoon onion powder
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese (optional)
Instructions
1. Preheat oven to 375°F and grease a 9×13-inch casserole dish.
2. Heat olive oil in a skillet and brown chicken pieces for 4–5 minutes; set aside.
3. Sauté garlic and broccoli in the same skillet for 2 minutes.
4. In a bowl, whisk together cream cheese, chicken broth, and seasonings until smooth.
5. Combine chicken, broccoli, and sauce in the casserole dish. Top with cheddar and optional Parmesan.
6. Bake uncovered for 25–30 minutes until bubbly and golden on top.
Notes
Use fresh broccoli for best texture and color.
Shred cheese yourself for better melt and flavor.
This recipe can be made ahead and refrigerated before baking.
Leftovers store well for 4 days in the fridge or up to 2 months in the freezer.
