Ingredients
2 large boneless skinless chicken breasts
2 large eggs
1 tablespoon cold water
1 cup all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon cayenne pepper
1 teaspoon smoked paprika
½ teaspoon garlic powder
½ teaspoon salt
¼ teaspoon pepper
¼ cup vegetable oil
½ cup honey
2 tablespoons low-sodium soy sauce
2 teaspoons minced garlic
1 tablespoon cornstarch
3 tablespoons cold water
Instructions
1. In a saucepan, combine honey, soy sauce, and garlic. Bring to a boil.
2. Whisk cornstarch with cold water, then add to sauce. Stir until thickened. Set aside.
3. Whisk eggs with 1 tablespoon water in a shallow bowl. In another bowl, mix flour and seasonings.
4. Dip chicken into egg mixture, then flour. Coat well.
5. Heat oil in skillet over medium heat. Fry chicken 4–5 minutes per side until golden.
6. Toss crispy chicken in honey garlic sauce. Serve immediately.
Notes
Use hot sauce in the glaze for a spicy twist.
Make ahead by storing sauce and chicken separately.
Garnish with parsley or sesame seeds for extra flavor.
