Crispy hot honey chicken tenders coated in a bold sweet and spicy glaze. Easy to make, family-friendly, and full of flavor.
Ingredients
1 lb chicken tenderloins or sliced chicken breast
1 cup buttermilk
1 large egg
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp smoked paprika
½ tsp cayenne pepper
½ tsp black pepper
1 tsp salt
1 cup all-purpose flour
½ cup cornstarch
½ tsp onion powder
½ cup neutral oil (canola or vegetable)
½ cup honey
1 tsp red pepper flakes
1 tbsp apple cider vinegar
1 tbsp hot sauce
Instructions
1. Marinate chicken in buttermilk, egg, and spices for 20 minutes.
2. Mix flour, cornstarch, and onion powder in a shallow bowl.
3. Heat oil in skillet over medium-high heat.
4. Dredge chicken in flour mixture, pressing to coat.
5. Fry tenders for 3–4 minutes per side until golden.
6. Warm honey, pepper flakes, vinegar, and hot sauce in saucepan.
7. Drizzle glaze over cooked tenders or toss to coat.
Notes
Use cornstarch with flour for extra crunch.
Do not overcrowd the pan when frying.
Glaze only after frying to keep tenders crispy.
