Description
This garlic butter chicken skillet is a quick, one-pan dinner that’s packed with flavor. Juicy chicken seared to golden perfection and coated in a rich garlic butter sauce, ready in under 30 minutes.
Ingredients
4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts (about 1.5 to 2 lbs)
1 teaspoon salt
½ teaspoon black pepper
½ teaspoon paprika
2 tablespoons olive oil
4 tablespoons unsalted butter
5 cloves garlic, minced
1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
Juice of ½ lemon
1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped (optional)
Instructions
1. Pat chicken dry with paper towels. Season both sides with salt, pepper, and paprika.
2. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add chicken and cook 5–6 minutes per side until golden and fully cooked. Remove and set aside.
3. Reduce heat to medium. Add butter to the skillet and let it melt. Stir in minced garlic and cook 30 seconds until fragrant. Add Italian seasoning and lemon juice.
4. Return chicken to the skillet. Spoon garlic butter over chicken and simmer for 2 minutes.
5. Garnish with fresh parsley if desired and serve hot.
Notes
Use chicken thighs instead of breasts for extra juiciness.
Avoid burning garlic by cooking it on medium or medium-low heat.
Add red pepper flakes for a kick of spice.
Great served with mashed potatoes, rice, or crusty bread.
