Ingredients
Chicken tenders – 1.5 pounds
Honey – ½ cup
Soy sauce (low sodium) – ¼ cup
Garlic, minced – 4 cloves
Apple cider vinegar – 1 tablespoon
Cornstarch – 1 tablespoon
Cold water – 1 tablespoon
Optional:
Crushed red pepper flakes – ¼ teaspoon
Fresh grated ginger – 1 teaspoon
Green onions – sliced, for garnish
Sesame seeds – for garnish
Hoisin sauce – optional, 1 tbsp
Instructions
1. Place chicken tenders in an even layer in your crockpot.
2. In a bowl, mix honey, soy sauce, garlic, vinegar, and optional ginger.
3. Pour sauce over chicken, ensuring it’s evenly coated.
4. Cover and cook on LOW for 4–5 hours or HIGH for 2.5–3 hours.
5. Remove chicken; stir cornstarch and water into the sauce.
6. Cook on HIGH for 10–15 minutes until thickened.
7. Return chicken to pot, coat in sauce, and serve.
Notes
Serve over rice, noodles, or mashed potatoes.
Slice leftovers for wraps or lunch bowls.
Add hoisin or broil chicken for extra stickiness.
