  • Author: Ellie
  • Total Time: 20 minutes
  • Yield: 4 servings 1x

Description

This 20 minute honey garlic chicken is quick, sticky, and full of sweet savory flavor. Tender chicken coated in a glossy garlic sauce, perfect for an easy lunch or dinner.

Ingredients

Scale

2 boneless chicken breasts, cut into bite-sized pieces

3 cloves garlic, minced

1/4 cup honey

2 tablespoons soy sauce

1 tablespoon water

1 teaspoon cornstarch

2 tablespoons oil

Instructions

1. In a small bowl, mix honey, soy sauce, water, and cornstarch until smooth and slightly thick.

2. Heat oil in a pan over medium-high heat and add the chicken pieces in a single layer.

3. Cook the chicken until lightly golden and no longer pink, allowing it to sear before stirring.

4. Add the minced garlic and stir gently for about 30 seconds until fragrant.

5. Pour the sauce into the pan and stir to coat the chicken evenly.

6. Continue cooking while stirring until the sauce thickens and becomes glossy, coating every piece of chicken.

7. Remove from heat and serve immediately while warm.

Notes

Cut chicken evenly so it cooks at the same speed.

Do not add garlic too early to avoid burning.

If sauce thickens too much, add a small splash of water.

Cook on medium-high heat for best texture and light browning.
