Description
Baked Huli Huli Chicken Recipe features tender oven-roasted chicken thighs coated in a sweet and savory pineapple soy glaze. The sauce thickens into a glossy, slightly sticky finish that clings to every bite, creating a comforting and flavorful dish.
Ingredients
4 bone-in chicken thighs
1 cup pineapple juice
1/2 cup BBQ sauce
1/4 cup soy sauce
2 tablespoons honey
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 teaspoon grated fresh ginger
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
Instructions
1. Preheat oven to 400°F.
2. In a bowl, mix pineapple juice, BBQ sauce, soy sauce, honey, minced garlic, grated ginger, and black pepper until smooth.
3. Place chicken thighs in a baking dish in a single layer.
4. Pour the sauce evenly over the chicken, making sure all pieces are coated.
5. Bake for 35 to 40 minutes, spooning sauce over the chicken halfway through cooking.
6. Continue baking until the chicken is fully cooked and the sauce thickens slightly.
7. Remove from oven and let rest for a few minutes before serving so the glaze settles.
Notes
Bake uncovered at the end to help the sauce reduce and thicken.
Basting during cooking builds a richer, glossy coating.
Use evenly spaced chicken pieces for more consistent roasting.
