Ingredients
2 large chicken breasts sliced in half lengthwise
1 bunch asparagus trimmed about 1 pound
2 tablespoons olive oil
3 cloves garlic minced
1 cup heavy cream
1/2 cup chicken broth
1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese
1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
Salt to taste
Black pepper to taste
1 tablespoon butter
Fresh parsley chopped
Instructions
1. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add chicken and cook until golden and fully cooked. Remove and set aside
2. Add asparagus to the same skillet and cook until tender but still slightly crisp. Remove and set aside
3. Add butter and garlic to the skillet and cook briefly until fragrant
4. Pour in chicken broth and heavy cream. Stir well then add parmesan cheese and Italian seasoning. Let the sauce thicken slightly
5. Return chicken and asparagus to the skillet. Coat everything with the sauce and simmer for a few minutes. Garnish with parsley and serve
Notes
Use fresh asparagus for the best texture and color
Do not overcook the cream sauce to keep it smooth
Add a splash of broth when reheating to maintain the creamy consistency
